Red cabbage
Red cabbage is high in phytochemicals (plant compounds), especially indole-3-carbinole (I3C). They cleanse the blood and detoxify the body, lowering the risk of lung, stomach and breast cancer.
It also contains Vitamin C, which reduces the risk of cancer and strokes. Red cabbage provides calcium, essential for healthy bones.
Red cabbage is considered to be effective in the treatment of peptic ulcers as it has a great deal of an amino acid known as glutamine.
