Strawberries
Strawberries are full of nutrients, especially high in Vitamin C which makes for great skin and eyesight. Vitamin C also helps burn fat.
They are also high in components that fight free radicals (cell damaging agents which can cause different types of cancer), antioxidants and phytonutrients. It is the antioxidant property in strawberries that is considered to render them red.
They contain an excellent source of manganese (good for cholesterol synthesis) and Vitamin K (crucial for good bones).
Strawberries are also full of potassium, folic acid, riboflavin, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, magnesium, copper and omega-3 fatty acids. These nutrients help bone formation, protect against cancer and are excellent for pregnant women in the prevention of birth defects.
