Foods to Eat
What you need to eat on a Detox Diet
You need to eat fresh fruit each day (with a limit on bananas of one every other day), salads, vegetables (with a limit on potatoes to a portion every 2 to 3 days), grains (i.e., brown rice, millet, rye, quinoa, rice and buckwheat), breads (wheat free, rye or pumpernickel), crispbreads, herbal teas and water, freshly squeezed juices (apple, celery, carrot), bean sprouts and pulses, almond, sesame and rice milk, nuts (almond, cashew or brazil), seeds (sesame, sunflower, flax or pumpkin), oils (cold pressed) and lots of fresh herbs.
Detox diet superfoods are lemons, apples and carrots as they are fabulous for great skin and cleanse the digestive system effectively. The phytochemicals which are found in garlic lower the likelihood of developing heart disease, with those in broccoli combating cancer.
Papayas and sprouted mung beans are full of vitamin C. Quinoa contains lots of fibre, magnesium, iron and multiple B vitamins. In addition, flaxseeds have lots of natural fibre which protects the stomach lining.
