According to a recent report from diet experts, eating too many sausages may lead to an increased risk of developing bowel cancer . Those people that regularly eat processed meat, including sausages, as part of their diets could be upping their cancer risk.
Bowel cancer, although not as widely publicised as breast cancer and lung cancer, remains the third most common cancer in the UK. As many as 36,000 cases are diagnosed every year.
Despite these increased risks, according to a study by the World Cancer Research Fund just 30 per cent of British people are familiar with the link between processed meat and risk of bowel cancer.
