Recent research indicates that over 70 per cent of the public are not exercising in accordance with government guidelines relating to diet, whilst high percentages said that they did not eat a healthy diet and just under half ate too much.
Myprotein.co.uk commissioned a comprehensive survey into diet and exercise, and found that 73 per cent of people were unhappy with their appearance and general health . Level of exercise was particularly alarming, with a quarter of people putting no time aside for exercise.
The survey questioned just under 1,400 respondents, the slight majority of which were female. Some 38% of respondents had embarked on deprivation diets to lose weight . Some 22% of respondents didnt know which type of food to eat to be healthy .
