Scottish Corner Shops Help in Healthy Diet Drive

Hundreds of Scottish corner shops are going to provide good deals on healthy foods in order to encourage Scots to adopt a healthy diet .
This is part of a the Scottish Grocers’ Federation’s healthyliving drive which is ensuring that local stores stock healthy foods.
Under this programme shoppers are going to be able to purchase fruit, veg, fish and porridge by the end of January.
250 shops, most in low-income areas, are participating in this programme to ensure Scots diets improve.
The programme intends to unite local shops throughout Scotland to provide customers with various healthy eating promotions throughout January.
Given the numbers of obese and overweight Scots, this programme could not come at a better time.
