A Premier League footballer has been teaching children about the importance of eating a healthy diet.
Ashley Williams, a Wales international who plays domestically for Swansea City under the guidance of new manager Michael Laudrup, took members of his Ashley Williams Soccer Camp on a trip to Chiquito's Mexican restaurant in Swansea, the South Wales Evening Post reports.
The player helped teach the kids about the benefits of eating food such as salad and pasta.
Tyrell Simpson, who organised the visit, explained the camp always puts together a healthy eating course that aims to demonstrate to little ones the types of meals a top footballer will consume both before and after a match.
Mr Simpson stated: "We gave out healthy eating leaflets and held a quiz and the children really took the message onboard."
He added parents were invited to offer their feedback after the event - an aspect of the day he described as very important.
Part of the reasoning behind the trip was to allow the youngsters to put into practice the diet-related studies they had been taught in the classroom.
