Vitamin B
These vitamins are called complex because they are formed from a group of vitamins that loosely have similar properties, their distribution in natural sources and their physiological functions which have an overlap. The body may need these in small amounts but they are needed for the proper functioning of almost every process in the body. This group of vitamins are water-soluble.
The complex includes:
- B1 – thiamine
- B2 – riboflavin
- B3 – nicotinic acid (niacin)
- B5 – pantothenic acid
- B6 – pyridoxine
- B7 – biotin
- B9 – folate (folic acid)
- B12 – cobalamin
- Choline
