Christina Aguilera returned to her fit self by losing the forty pounds she gained whilst pregnant, within four months of giving birth to her son Max.
She really enjoyed being pregnant and she had an immense craving for sweets towards the end of pregnancy, including Skittles and Starburst.
She is now back into her pre-pregnancy jeans.
She did not deprive herself of any foods when she was pregnant. She loves a steak and baked potato and Southern comfort food, such as fried chicken and macaroni and cheese.
Christina Aguilera still does not deprive herself of anything. Nonetheless, she limits the tempting foods and keeps a check on carbohydrates. She has switched to whole grain bread even though she loved her white bread.
It is difficult for Christina not to be able to eat what she wants to when she wants to. She is a midnight feaster so it is difficult not to reach out for that comforting bag of chips.
As Christina had a C-section, she had to wait six weeks after the birth of her child to start exercising. She started slowly and steadily, ensuring that she did not overdo it.
The Christina Aguilera exercise routine lasts for 90 minutes, five days a week:
- Cardio: 40 minutes on the treadmill or elliptical.
- Toning: 40 minutes of strength training, such as, biceps curls, push ups, chest presses and lunges; 3 sets of 8.
- Stretching: 10 minutes
