What is Cellulite?
Cellulite is an accumulation of fat, water and toxins trapped just under the skin which gives the skin that not so pleasant, bumpy appearance. Cellulite is that dimply looking skin which occurs around the hips, thighs, buttocks and belly; it looks like orange peel.
Cellulite can also be genetic. So should your mother have cellulite, you are highly likely to get it as well. Excess estrogen can also add to a cellulite problem. However, in most cases, cellulite is the product of an unhealthy diet, an over-worked, weak lymphatic system and liver.
Once the body’s circulation and elimination processes are overworked, your connective tissue reduces in strength. This generates unmetabolised fats and wastes which become trapped, as opposed to being expelled via the usual channels of elimination; this causes cellulite.
Indigenous societies namely consume more natural, less toxic foods and beverages. In addition, they do take antibiotics or medication. Hence, these indigenous women do not have cellulite, and in fact have most likely never heard of cellulite.
It is said that around 95% of women have cellulite, as well as some men.
