Diet watchdogs slam Skinny Water

Skinny Water, a minor sales phenomenon that promises to lose weight for those that drink it, has been slammed by diet watchdogs. The diet drink – which is sold in top retailers such as WH Smith, Superdrug and Tesco – claims to have a formula for losing weight .
However, Bio synergy, the manufacturer of the drug, have said that skinny water is just a brand name, like skinny jeans. Food and diet watchdogs, angry with the misleading claims, are reportedly planning to implement new EU laws to crack down on the product.
The Food Standards Agency blasted the groundless claims. They reportedly commented: “At the moment they can make claims without having to back them up, but they won’t be able to for long. The EU regulations will provide food and drink manufacturers with a list of clear claims, backed by scientific evidence, that can be used on labels.”
