Eating fast food diet harms the liver

According to new research, eating too much fast food and taking too little exercise could damage the liver in as little as a month.
A new study found that those people who ate junk food twice a day as part of their diet quickly experience liver damage, as well as putting on large amounts of weight in a relatively short time. Weight gain, which can quickly lead to obesity, is often reported as being directly related to pre-diabetes and metabolic syndrome .
The study, which was published in the journal Gut, was conducted between twelve men and six women, all of whom were slim and healthy at the start of the study. They ate fast food twice per day as part of a changed diet, and only took small amounts of exercise. Another group ate a healthy diet, to act as comparison.
