Scots keep unhealthy food in their diet

According to new data published today by the Food Standards Agency (FSA), Scots are eating their recommended levels of fruit and vegetables, but many are failing to give up the junk food, such as crisps and chips.
The FSA found that as many as 54% of Scots were eating their RDA of fruit and vegetables, way up on figures from last year. However, just one out of every five Scottish people were intending to cut out fatty foods from their diet .
The results were released as part of the eighth annual Scottish Consumer Attitudes to Food Survey. Scots have started to prioritise healthy eating. Although the report does include some encouraging statistics for Scotland, it appears that fatty foods will remain a part of many diets for this year at least.
