Diet of mum affects weight of child

Scientists in Australia have made a breakthrough finding that the diet of a pregnant woman is directly responsible for whether their child develops into a fat or thin adult.
The scientists indicate that those women who are overweight before and during their pregnancy may be signing a warrant that makes their child obese . Diet over the course of pregnancy also affects the appetite of children .
The head of the research, a professor at the University of NSW, Margaret Morris, reportedly commented: “This suggests that mothers should think twice about overindulging, or using the excuse that they’re eating for two during pregnancy.”
Morris reportedly continued: “The major finding is the dramatic increase in body fat in offspring of overweight and obese mothers.”
