Six weeks of diet time left until Christmas

Dropping a dress size or an inch of waistline is the goal for many dieters before Christmas, but with the festive season kicking off un just six weeks, many looking for a healthy weight-loss diet could be panicking.
Weight-loss at Christmas means keeping energy levels up for shopping, planning and cooking Christmas meals, so choose a food plan that can get you in shape without reducing your energy levels. Millions of people will go on a diet for Christmas this year, so you won’t be alone.
In a recent Mirror article, nutritionist Sarah King was reported as commenting: “The healthiest and most effective way to lose weight quickly is by eating plenty of lean protein (i.e.; fish and poultry) and wholegrain carbs. Not only does this help burn calories, but combined with exercise it will also build muscle to replace the fat you lose.”
