Some of the most famous and enduring cartoon characters advertising food have been slammed for the way in which they represent diet .
Consumer watchdog Which?, who are pledged to fighting child obesity, claim that several diet icons fail to promote healthy eating, and instead promote an unhealthy diet .
Which? compiled a Cartoon League Table that included Tony the Tiger, the Dairylea cow, and Snap, Crackle and Pop. Major food companies were slammed for their advertising creations, including Kraft, for advertising unhealthy food to children.
Which? campaigners called for the advertising industry regulate codes surrounding advertising food to children.
