Too Much Cola Can Trigger Muscle Problems

Drinking too much cola can trigger serious muscle problems, so experts warned.
Recent research cofirms that these muscle problems range from mild muscle weakness to muscle paralysis throughout the body.
Coke drinkers can suffer from an irregular heart-beat as well as weak bones . These results are the findings of a study of people who were drinking between 2 to 9 litres of cola on a daily basis.
Dr Moses Elisaf, from Ioannina University in Greece, led this astonishing research.
It is evident that we are globally and natioanally drinking more soft drinks than ever before which has led to several health issues having been identified.
In addition, he confirmed that research evidence suggests excessive cola consumption can lead to hypokalaemia, whereby blood-potassium levels decrease, leading to an adverse effect on crucial muscle functions.
The report was published in the International Journal Of Clinical Practice.
The British Soft Drinks Association stated that the examples cited in this study were “very extreme cases”.
A spokeswoman suggested that: “Moderate consumption of cola drinks is completely safe and people can continue to enjoy such drinks as part of a balanced diet and active lifestyle.”
