Drinking tea can help weight loss, so says recent research.
Researchers discovered that regularly drinking tea also suppresses damaging alterations in the blood associated with fatty foods which can trigger type 2 diabetes .
They stated that the research conducted on mice indicated these health benefits of tea.
In the study certain mice were placed on a high fat diet and other mice on a normal diet . Each of the two groups were further split into smaller groups and were given green tea or black tea to drink for fourteen weeks.
Each kind of tea suppressed body weight gain and the amassing of abdominal fat associated with a fatty diet.
Moreover, black tea also counterbalanced the harmful effects on blood usually linked to a high-fat diet, such as, high blood glucose, high cholesterol and insulin resistance.
Increasing rates of obesity levels in the West has resulted in growing numbers of indviduals developing insulin resistance.
