This low calorific formula is a definite way that obese people can lose weight .
However, the down side is the subsequent lack of calcium and vitamin D which can cause bone issues.
It is reported that Gwyneth Paltrow is presently experiencing such effects.
Medics have told her that she has developed osteopenia, a disease known to cause brittle bones. This can in some cases lead to osteoporosis.
The addition of more dairy products can assist with her calcium levels, whilst more protein from beans or lentils and more exposure to sunlight could also beneficial.
