Soya Lowers Risk of Cancer Amongst Pre Menopausal Women

Soya products which contain isoflavones lower the risk of breast tumours amongst premenopausal women by 30 per cent.
Isoflavones are natural organic compounds related to isoflavonoids. Most isoflavones act like phytoestrogens, having anti cancer qualities.
Isoflavones are to be found practically exclusively in the soya bean.
This study was of certain types of breast cancer amongst women, with the menopause playing a key role.
The researchers discovered that those women who incorporated high isoflavone intake in to their diet had a 60 per cent lower risk of developing a Grade 1 breast cancer tumour.
Further research is needed into this area as well as the findings are not authoritative.
