Women do not pay heed to advice regarding diets from men.
This is the finding of recent Australian research .
When it comes to dieting, women take into account what other women have to say.
More than a hundred women participated in the research, which rated responses to several short videos featuring supposed healthy eating experts of both genders.
The research found that women who watched videos featuring woman speaking were more persuaded by its message.
When a man delivered the same messages the videos had minimal impact in comparison.
40 per cent of women were persuaded by healthy eating messages when delivered by a woman, whereas, just 8 per cent were convinced of the same message from a man.
