Benefits of a Vegetarian Diet

A vegetarian diet can be delicious, varied and highly interesting.
Vegetarians do not eat meat, poultry and meat; some eat eggs and dairy products in their diets .
Vegans are strict vegetarians who have none of the above.
Vegetarian diets considerably lower the risk of multiple health concerns.
Heart disease is more rare amongst vegetarians due to the fact that vegetarians have far lower cholesterol levels than meat eaters. Vegetarian meals usually contain little saturated fat and a minimal amount, if no cholesterol, as cholesterol is present only in animal products.
A vegan of course eats a totally cholesterol-free diet.
Lots of studies have highlighted that replacing animal protein with plant protein reduces blood-cholesterol levels, hence, a low-fat, vegetarian diet clearly holds health advantages over other diets.
Research has also emphasised that vegetarians have lower blood pressure than non-vegetarians.
