It is not always easy to buy food suitable for your diet when travelling by train.
However, there is some good news for Indian railway passengers travelling on Konkan Railway as it has introduced a diet food service in certain trains.
The service is being provided on a trial basis to begin with, in order to see whether or not it receives a good response.
Fruit juices, coconut water, green tea and soya in beverages are on offer.
For a healthy breakfast, you can have an egg white omelete, cornflakes, oatmeal, Indian wholegrain breads and fruit yogurt. There is also a range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian soups available on board.
For a light lunch or supper, you can tuck into grilled sandwiches, boiled vegetables, as well as sugar free sweets served at your seat.
