Scientists have discovered that processed foods could play a key part in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder symptoms.
Recent research suggests that restrictions on diets ought to be placed on children with ADHD.
The research has been undertaken by two researchers based in the Netherlands.
Another study found that ADHD symptoms occur partly due to allergic reactions set off by specific foods.
In this study, the researchers controlled the diets of two sets of children diagnosed with ADHD.
When placed on a healthy diet , 78 percent of the children saw their ADHD symptoms decrease. Once processed foods were introduced back into their diets, the symptoms revisited two-thirds of the children.
The healthier diet consisted of vegetables, meat, rice, pears and water.
