Diet and Exercise Bring Back Immunity in Obesity

Boston University scientists state that exercise on a daily basis and dietary control can reverse immune dysfunction in obese individuals .
Overeating plus a sedentary lifestyle are renowned to increase the risk of obesity, which is related to heart disease, hypertension, gum disease, diabetes, specific cancers, as well as asthma.
Recent research intimates that an alteration in immune function precedes all these diseases.
In previous research the Boston University researchers had demonstrated that obesity causes immune defects which render it difficult to combat infection.
Via an obese mice model the researchers found that regular exercise and and dietary control significantly restored immune function.
Moreover, the researchers concluded that by just rectifying one factor, there may be no tangible result in terms of restoration of immune facility.
