Green Tea and Onions Great for Diet

A biomedical professor has discovered that green tea, onions and olive leaf extract can combat obesity and associated diseases like, diabetes, heart disease and fatty liver, even if a high-fat and high-carb diet has been indulged in.
An Australian professor has tested a various foods on rats that been on an unhealthy diet high in fat and sugar . The Daily Telegraph reported that he had uncovered that specific foods enabled the prevention of growth of inflammatory cells in the animals’ fat pads, found in their abdomen, which moves fat from the blood stream and stores it.
The rats were given green tea, onions, olive leaf extract, chia seeds and purple carrots which reduced many fat cells and enabled weight loss, despite having maintained an overall poor diet. The rodents’ liver and heart function also improved on this new diet.
The key message the researchers stated is that we ought to eat better as opposed to eat less.
Onions and olive leaf extract contain a flavonoid known as rutin, which is also to be found in tea, red wine and apples; it reversed or prevented metabolic changes in rats that had been fed a high-sugar, high-fat diet.
