Heart Attacks More Likely From Drinking Diet Soft Drinks

New American research has discovered that drinking diet soft drinks renders you more susceptible to heart attacks .
2,564 participants in the Northern Manhattan Study were examined as to how frequently they drank soft drinks, that is diet and regular, and the number of strokes and heart attacks incurred were monitored over a decade.
They discovered that those who drank diet soft drinks every day were 43 percent more likely to have undergone strokes than those who drank none.
Light diet soft drink consumers, that is, “those who drank between one a month and six a week,” and those who drank regular soft drinks were not more susceptible to develop vascular health problems.
Another recent research study undertaken by the University of Texas highlighted that those who drank two or more diet drinks daily gained 70 percent more abdominal fat than those who did not drink diet drinks.
Abdominal fat is a high risk factor for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure and other diseases and conditions.
