Researchers discovered that there were no differences in weight loss or reduction of fat between four diets which had differing proportions of fat, carbohydrates and protein .
The key predictor for weight loss is ‘adherence’. Those who adhered better lost more weight than those who did not.
Specific diets, especially those which had fewer carbohydrates worked better than others.
