High Carb Diet can Cut Risk of Cancer

A high carbohydrate diet can cut risk of cancer.
This kind of diet consists of whole grains, legumes and other high-fibre foods.
A high fibre diet considerably reduces inflammation markers which are related to chronic disease amongst overweight and obese adults.

A high fibre diet increases a hormone which helps regulate the metabolism of fat and sugar.
The study involved 80 healthy Seattle-area men and women; it found that such a low-glycaemic diet decreased a biomarker of inflammation known as C-reactive protein by approximately 22 per cent.
The lead author stated that this finding is of paramount importance and clinically highly useful as C-reactive protein is linked to increased risk for many cancers and cardiovascular disease .
