Kim Kardashian reveals Atkins diet secret

Kim Kardashian has revealed on Twitter that the secret to her dramatic post-baby weight loss was the Atkins diet.
The reality TV star – who recently got engaged to rapper Kanye West – gave birth to her daughter North in June.
She then shied away from the media spotlight over the next couple of months, before eventually rejoining the celebrity circle looking trim.
The 33-year-old hit the headlines last week after posting a revealing picture of her post-baby figure – and recently tweeted: “I’ve actually been doing the Atkins diet and luv [sic] it.”
An Atkins representative has since revealed that the star has been on the regime since it was approved by her doctor at the end of June.
It involved eating lots of protein, healthy fats, fruit and vegetables, while keeping carbohydrates to a relatively low level.
Kardashian has also been reinforcing the diet with a strict exercise plan, paying regular visits to the gym.
The Atkins spokesperson said: “She wanted to be a healthy, nursing mom and not toxify her milk with her diet or lose weight too quickly.”
