Jessica Simpson has been showing off the results of a successful diet after years of trying to shed the pounds.
The reality TV star has stuck to a strict eating plan for four months after giving birth to her daughter Maxwell earlier in the year – and has now been spotted out and about with her new slender figure.
TMZ reports the Dukes of Hazzard actress has lost 60 pounds as a result of her latest diet, which sees her eating lots of vegetables, low-fat smoothies and protein.
It is believed the plan was drawn up by the celebrity’s former chef, with a WeightWatchers point system used to judge the fat content and calories of each food consumed.
Among the meals recommended in the diet are chicken satays, soba noodles, super low-calorie egg white omelettes, shrimp skewers and whipped chick peas.
Simpson began the new regimen in July this year, with her diet initially based around smoothies for a 15-day period.
This included five days of three of the drinks with two healthy snacks, followed by five days of two beverages a day and two healthy snacks and one meal, as well as five days of one smoothie every 24 hours, two snacks and two meals.
