would supplements help?

Postby jessie on Wed Mar 17, 2010 2:19 pm

Hi Guys
I’ve just started a new exercise regime in an attempt to be more healthy, I’ve started going for a quick jog in the morning before work and I’ve cut out most the junk food from my diet and got rid of most the processed ready meals
I’ve been doing this for about a month now and I’ve not really noticed much difference and I was thinking about using some of the PhD diet supplement stuff like this

I was just wondering if anyone knows whether it should help.
This is all pretty new to me so any advice would be welcome
Thanks
Jessie

Hello! It is good that you started your exercise session. Draw a good and suitable diet plan for you and stick to it only.
And exercise is must that you are already doing..

This response is a bit late, but I don't think you're at the stage of needing supplements yet.

I don't know what your starting point is, but a month isn't a long time. My suggestion would be to track your food intake and activity levels - there are lots of free websites that let you do that. My favourite is FitDay, but there are others - try a few and see which you like.

Give it a couple of months of eating around your maintenance calories with "clean" food, and exercising a bit - you should see good results.

If you are having trouble getting enough nutrients out of food alone - then yes, add supplements, but if you can get the nutrients you need from food, then I think that's better - at least it's cheaper, and in my opinion it tastes nicer too :)
