Comedian Ricky Gervais is a big star in Hollywood nowadays. However, he is not nearly as big as he used to be.
The 48 year old Gervais has lost three stones due to healthy dieting and exercise .
In the past he had admitted not to liking his bulkiness.
He has even been quoted as saying, upon waking up in the morning, that he intensely disliked his then big frame.
Not any more. The slimmer Gervais has gone from 16 stones down to a trimmer 13 stones.
So let us hope that the jokes do not wear thin.
Ricky has often dressed in black to hide his frame. He has even joked that a comedian ought to carry extra weight.
Now he is in a position to even bring out that ubiquitous diet and exercise dvd to reveal his diet secrets.
His Office co star Lucy Davis had a radical makeover when she hit Hollywood.
Aesthetics aside, this is great news for Ricky's health . Extra weight adds pressure to joints and can make you more prone to illnesses like diabetes, heart disease, cancer, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and inflammation of joints.
