Kate Middleton Gives the Dukan Diet a Fresh Perspective

Kate Middleton is said to have incurred a weight loss of around two stones since she started the Dukan Diet just before her wedding.
This diet was developed in 2000 by a French doctor called Pierre Dukan in 2000 and has attracted many celebrities to use it in their quest to lose weight .
The Dukan Diet has four phases; Attack, Cruise, Consolidation and Stabilisation. The first phase which is about ten days in length depends on what your weight loss target is; you are only permitted to eat oat bran, lean protein and plenty of water during this phase.
The second phase involves the additional of more oat bran and a minimal quantity of non-starchy vegetables on alternate days. During the Consolidation phase, the dieter can also eat two slices of bread, an apple and a piece of cheese as well as two “celebratory” meals which involves eating anything.
The final phase permits the dieter to eating several items of food including fried chicken.
The Dukan Diet provides immediate results however, many health experts do not recommend it. They consider that such diets are not productive for keeping weight off and could lead to the dieter not getting the calorific intake needed.
Some health experts consider that the Dukan Diet can even trigger ailments such as diabetes .
